How Barhoun Concept runs a Brussels fleet in an hour a week

By The Tomcabs team

Barhoun Concept is a taxi company based in Brussels. In December 2025, it became the first company to run on Tomcabs every day, back when the product was still rough around the edges.

That meant real shifts, real drivers and real money going through software that was still being built. It also meant a lot of honest feedback. Many of the details managers and drivers rely on today started as a message from Barhoun Concept telling us something didn't match how a taxi day actually works.

Twenty hours a month on paperwork

Before Tomcabs, running the fleet was a second job that started once the driving was done. Collecting road sheets, checking meter values, adding up cash and card payments, working out each driver's commission, and making sure nobody was paid too much or too little.

The manager estimates it took more than 20 hours every month. None of it made the company more money. It just kept the numbers from falling apart.

Building it together

As our first beta tester, Barhoun Concept didn't get a finished product. They got a direct line to the people building it.

Drivers told us where closing a shift slowed them down at the end of a long night. The manager told us which numbers mattered and which ones were noise. We shipped changes, they tried them on the road, and we went again.

That loop shaped how drivers close a shift, how rides and expenses are recorded, and how each driver's payment is calculated.

One hour a week

Today, drivers record their shifts and rides in Tomcabs as they work. Road sheets are generated from that data. Commissions and cash are accounted for automatically.

The manager's week comes down to two questions: how is the fleet performing, and how much do I owe each driver? Answering both takes about an hour.

That's roughly four hours a month instead of twenty.

The numbers

Over the last 90 days, Barhoun Concept recorded:

  • €44,148 in revenue, close to €15,000 a month
  • 2,387 rides across 162 shifts
  • €272 in average revenue per shift

Their most productive driver brought in €19,792 over the same period, around €6,600 a month.

Since starting with Tomcabs, the company has logged nearly 7,000 rides and more than €131,000 in revenue.

Thank you

Being first is hard. You find the bugs before anyone else, and you give your time to a product that doesn't fully exist yet. Barhoun Concept did both, and every company using Tomcabs today benefits from it.

Thank you to the whole team, and to every driver who told us what we got wrong.
